NASK’s latest report, which includes a profile of the domain market in Q2 of this year, points out a significant fact: Poland is leading among the 10 largest European national registries with regard to domain name growth.
NASK has come up with a special offer involving services for the ISP sector companies. The services are offered in competitively priced packages and allow ISP businesses to meet regulatory requirements, as well as ensure the security of solutions offered to end-users.
8 June – start of the social campaign “Every move in the internet leaves tracks behind”
Amendment of the penal code concerning seduction of minor in the internet enters into force on 8 June 2010. On the same day, the Nobody’s Children Foundation, the Research and Academic Computer Network (NASK) and the Children’s Rights Ombudsman launch a new stage of the campaign “Child in the Net”, called “Every move in the internet leaves tracks behind”. By recalling Ania and Wojtek (characters appearing in the 2004 campaign called “You never know who’s on the other side”) the organisers intend to draw attention of the society both to the problem itself and to the new legislation.
NASK signs satellite broadband agreement with SES ASTRA
7 June 2010. – SES ASTRA, an SES company (Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG), announced today that it has entered into a distribution agreement with NASK to offer its satellite-based broadband service ASTRA2Connect to business customers in the Polish market. The service is available as of now.
NASK and ABW (Internal Security Agency) have won this year’s edition of the Teraz Polska (Now Poland) contest in the innovation category. The award has been granted for the ARAKIS-GOV detection and early warning system informing about telecommunications and IT threats in the state’s administration network.
