Starting from December 2011 NASK offers the .pl domain in DNSSEC secured form (DNS Security Extensions). It is the beginning of implementation the solution that make it more difficult for criminals to deceive users by directing them to fake websites.
Four parallel workshops, 38 speakers, over 200 participants – so just a few numbers describing the Secure 2011 Conference that has been held for the fifteenth time. From the beginning, the conference organizers are NASK and CERT Polska, operating in the framework of the institution.. The conference was under the patronage of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Ministry of Interior and Administration.
“I don’t accept, access or visit…” – a new social campaign on online safety has been launched
According to the analysis of incidents reported to Dyżurnet.pl, year after year, more and more illegal or harmful content is found on the Internet. The most serious incidents include child sexual abuse content as well as racist and xenophobic content combined with hate speech. The social campaign “I don't accept, access or visit...” that has been launched recently is aimed at drawing the attention of Poles to the need of responding to incidents and building awareness in this area.
The 15th conference on telecommunication and IT security SECURE 2011 is taking place in October. The conference is organized by NASK and CERT Polska, operating in the framework of the institute.
According to the new NASK Report every day in the Polish registry appears over 3 300 new .pl domain names. The report presents the situation on the Q1 2011. Such an immense growth in the number of .pl domain names ranks Poland first among all European Union domain registers.
