Andrzej Bartosiewicz, Head of DNS Department in NASK was appointed as Chairman of CENTR during its General Assembly held in Prague on 8th-9th March 2007.
CENTR is a peak body of the organizations responsible for the Internet addresses (so called Country Code Top-Level Domain Registries). At present there are over 50 full members of CENTR. The organization has a European focus, but there are no geographical restrictions to membership. For the first time, a person from the Eastern Europe was made on so important appointment as a chairman of the world DNS system organization. Nominating on this position of Andrzej Bartosiewicz is an acknowledgement for running of the DNS Department in NASK (which functions as the “.pl” Domain Name Register) – managing by Bartosiewicz. |
