Since 2002, at the annual SECURE conference NASK has presented the Professor Tomasz Hofmokl Award “For Promoting the Idea of Information Society”.
The NASK-funded award honours people who have made a special contribution to the development of information society and support the idea originated in Poland in 1994 by the late prof. Tomasz Hofmokl, the founder and first director of NASK.

In 2005 — Włodzimierz Marciński for creating the governmental bill and helping to pass the “eGovernment Act”, which lays the legal foundations for the development of information society in Poland. More 
In 2006 — Allegro.pl for creating a successful auction system that has become one of the most popular Polish Internet sites More 
In 2007 — Merlin.pl for creating Poland's largest online bookstore More 
In 2008 — Wacław Iszkowski for a long work towards integration of the Polish IT and telecommunication circles, as well as for a consistent advocacy of the freedom to run economic activities in accordance with a legible and transparent law More
